About the role
The Company
Civmec is an Australian-owned, integrated, multidisciplinary heavy engineering and construction services provider to the energy, resources, infrastructure, marine and defence sectors. Our diversification enables us to operate extensively across the nation, supporting a wide range of landmark projects and providing variety and career development opportunities for our workforce.
The Role
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Mechanical Commissioning Technician plays a critical role in bringing Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) into service. You'll be hands-on throughout the commissioning lifecycle, leading Set to Work (STW) activities, supporting Harbour and Sea Acceptance Trials, and working closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure systems perform safely and reliably.
Beyond trials, you'll contribute to pre-test activities such as pipe testing and flushing, pre-delivery maintenance, equipment operation, and post-delivery warranty support. This is a varied and rewarding role where your technical expertise will directly impact vessel readiness and project success.
