Marine Service Technician

About the role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Riviera Motor Yachts. Working both on-water and ashore, you'll play a key role in ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of technical support and customer care. No two days are the same, with a mix of workshop, marina, and on-water activities, as well as involvement in exclusive owner events and new vessel handovers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Riviera Motor Yachts

• Commission new vessels and complete pre-delivery inspections

• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and onboard systems faults

• Conduct sea trials, performance testing, and on-water service work

• Operate and manoeuvre vessels up to 80ft for servicing and client support activities

• Assist with new owner handovers and technical demonstrations

• Provide professional support during customer visits, vessel deliveries, and exclusive owner events

• Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship, safety, and presentation

• Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with the service team

About you

You are a skilled marine professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. You enjoy problem-solving, working autonomously, and being part of a close-knit team that values professionalism and continuous improvement.

• Qualified Marine Technician, Marine Engineer, or Mechanical/Electrical Trade qualification

• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience within the marine industry

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• Recreational Skipper's Ticket or equivalent marine qualification

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Current WA 240V Electrical Licence (highly regarded)

• Experience servicing and repairing onboard refrigeration systems, including fridges, freezers, and ice makers (highly regarded)

• Experience operating vessels up to 80ft (highly regarded)
