About the Role

Are you an energetic, sharp-eyed hospitality leader looking to take the next step in an elevated seaside dining environment? Peregrin is seeking an experienced casual Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Working side-by-side with our Restaurant Manager and Venue Manager, you’ll be a driving force on the floor, delivering exceptional food and beverage service, leading dynamic shifts, and building a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive Service Excellence: Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor during key peak shifts, driving flawless service standards and collaborating closely with our kitchen team.

• Lead & Inspire: Run pre-shift briefings, onboard new team members, and coach floor staff daily to deliver standout guest experiences.

• Manage Shift Operations: Assist with everything from bar and floor setup/breakdowns and function coordination to stock control, cash handling, and lock-up procedures.

• Deputise with Confidence: Step up to lead the venue in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

• Ensure Compliance: Keep safety top-of-mind by enforcing WHS, food hygiene, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) standards across all areas.

About You

• Proven Experience: Background in high-volume, fast-paced food and beverage operations.

• Natural Leadership: Emerging floor management skills with the ability to lead by example, keep energy high, and keep cool under pressure.

• Operational & Financial Savvy: Hands-on experience with till reconciliations, stock control, and daily shift reporting.

• High Standards: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for premium hospitality.
