About the role

The Minerals Marketing Assistant supports the Global Minerals Marketing and Communications Coordinator to deliver strategic business goals with result-oriented marketing, corporate communications plans and actions for business growth. The role's main responsibilities involve the creation of marketing materials for print and digital media, overseeing content dissemination across various platforms, brand ambassador, events and conference support, stakeholder management and providing reception relief coverage for the Administration Coordinator during lunch cover and leave.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and production of marketing collateral, promotional merchandise and branded materials, including copywriting, basic graphic design and layout in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing and communications campaigns, including social media, website, intranet, email marketing (EDMs), internal communications and leadership newsletters.

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of conferences, industry events, workshops, seminars and business development activities, including event logistics, promotions and maintaining the events calendar.

• Conduct market research and assist with gathering market intelligence to support marketing initiatives and business development opportunities.

• Support the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with Global and Regional Minerals objectives across digital, print and internal communication channels.

• Coordinate relationships with external suppliers, including graphic designers, printers, promotional merchandise providers and industry organisations.

• Maintain and update marketing systems, including the Global Marketing SharePoint site, CRM databases, digital assets and marketing documentation.

• Assist with the preparation and compilation of tenders, proposals and contract submissions.

• Provide general administrative support to the marketing function, ensuring marketing records, materials and resources remain accurate, organised and up to date.

• Provide reception relief coverage for the Administration Coordinator during lunch breaks and planned or unplanned leave, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for visitors, clients and staff.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and/or Communications or currently working towards one, is highly desirable.

• 1-2 years' experience in a marketing role preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an ability to learn new software and systems.

• Experience using content distribution tools such as LinkedIn, website CMS and EDM systems.

• Experience in social media management, including seeking opportunity for content capture, copywriting and tailoring content.

• Experience supporting events, communications and marketing campaigns.

• Basic photography, videography and copywriting skills preferred.

• Intermediate Canva and Adobe experience (Adobe Photoshop and InDesign) preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing deadlines and changing priorities.
