Commercial / Litigation Lawyers | 5+ years’ PAE | Boutique Law Firm

About the role:

We're currently working with a boutique law firm to secure an experienced lawyer on a flexible contracting basis.

Our client delivers high quality legal advice and tailored support to clients operating across the maritime, trade, transport and logistics sectors.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

• Advising on, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial and maritime contracts, including charterparties, sale of goods agreements, offshore vessel operations, port and terminal agreements, shipbuilding and equipment leasing arrangements.

• Providing strategic legal advice on marine operations matters, including towage, salvage, wreck removal, pollution response and offshore support services.

• Representing clients in commercial litigation matters across Federal and State Courts in Australia.

• Advising on and conducting admiralty disputes, including vessel arrests, judicial sales, limitation claims and multi-jurisdictional matters.

• Managing claims and disputes through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution and other commercially focused outcomes.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking lawyers with 5+ years' PAE, ideally gained within national, international or leading boutique firms.

Strong commercial and/or litigation experience is essential, while maritime law experience will be highly regarded. We also welcome lawyers with transferable experience from other relevant sectors.
