Assistant Club Manager- Marsden Park

About the role

We are seeking a Woman Assistant Club Manager to join our team at our Marsden Park location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our women's only health club. As Assistant Club Manager, you will work alongside the Club Manager to ensure our members receive exceptional service, maintain high operational standards, and contribute to a positive club culture. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our facility and offers significant opportunities for professional development within the Fernwood club.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Club Manager in overseeing all club operations, including member services, facility maintenance, and staff management

• Provide excellent customer service to members and ensure their concerns and inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally

• Support the team, training, and supervision of club staff, fostering a positive team environment

• Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across all club facilities and equipment

• Manage member retention initiatives and contribute to achieving membership targets

• Assist with financial management tasks, including basic budgeting and expense monitoring

• Oversee facility maintenance schedules and coordinate with external service providers as needed

• Support the development and implementation of club programmes and events

• Handle member inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner

About you

• Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably within the fitness, health, recreation industry

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

• Sound organisational and administrative capabilities

• Knowledge of health and safety

• Basic financial literacy

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently

• A positive attitude and commitment to promoting a supportive, inclusive club culture

• Relevant qualifications in management, fitness instruction, or recreation management are advantageous
