CGA Accounting trades as Thomas Business Accountants, a well established Sunshine Coast accounting firm with over 30 years of experience and deep roots in the local community.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper who is passionate about helping businesses stay organised, compliant and financially informed. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of clients across various industries while being part of a supportive and growing team.
This position is to be based in our Maroochydore office.
Key responsibilities will include:
End to end bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients.
Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns.
Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations.
Accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
Payroll processing and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting.
Superannuation processing and compliance.
Preparation of management reports and client reporting packs.
Maintaining accurate financial records and client files.
Liaising with clients, the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.
Assisting accountants with year-end compliance and reporting requirements.
From time to time some admin support liasing with our admin team in North Lakes or locally in Maroochydore.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous bookkeeping experience within a public practice accounting firm or bookkeeping environment.
Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential).
Experience with payroll, superannuation, and STP reporting.
Sound understanding of GST, BAS and IAS obligations.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
The ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
A commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long term client relationships.
