Commercial Lawyer | 1–3 PQE

As we continue to grow our Commercial Law practice, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

This is an opportunity for a 1–3 PQE Commercial Lawyer who wants to build their commercial experience, work directly with clients and take on genuine responsibility as they develop their career.

The Role

You’ll work closely with our senior lawyers and Managing Partner across a broad range of transactional and advisory commercial matters.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on real client matters from early on, while having the support and guidance of an experienced team around you.

This isn't a role where you'll be siloed. You'll be trusted with responsibility, exposed to clients and given the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills.

What You'll Do

Commercial & Advisory

• Advise and assist clients on general commercial matters
• Support businesses with structuring, governance and day-to-day legal issues
• Work closely with senior lawyers on client matters
• Develop your understanding of the commercial drivers behind client decisions

Drafting & Transactions

• Draft and review commercial and business agreements
• Assist with mergers & acquisitions
• Work on commercial and retail leasing matters
• Support insolvency and business advisory matters

Client Exposure

• Work with a diverse portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses
• Attend client meetings and develop strong client relationships
• Gain exposure to the commercial issues affecting growing businesses
• Build confidence in providing practical, commercially focused advice

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years PQE
• Experience or exposure to commercial law in private practice
• Strong interest in corporate and commercial law
• Good drafting, communication and analytical skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• Ability to take ownership while knowing when to ask for guidance
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• NSW admission
