What your day could look like

As a Registered Nurse in Emergency, you'll play a vital role in helping patients receive safe, timely and compassionate care during some of their most important moments. From clinical assessment and decision-making to working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you'll contribute to outcomes that improve experiences for patients, families and the wider community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Delivering evidence-based emergency care that supports positive patient outcomes and promotes safety at every stage of the patient journey.
• Collaborating with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues to coordinate care and respond effectively in dynamic clinical situations.
• Guiding and supporting less experienced team members while helping foster a positive, respectful and high-performing team culture.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen quality and service excellence across the emergency department.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
• Strong clinical nursing capability with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Commitment to professional development, quality improvement and delivering safe, patient-centred outcomes.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a qualification related to rural and isolated nursing practice and/or postgraduate study relevant to emergency or acute care.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding emergency care and creating positive experiences for patients, families and colleagues.
