Digital Designer

The Digital Designer is a digitally-native creative with a strong command of design craft across web, social, eDM, CRM, D2C and digital production environments. Equally comfortable concepting and executing, they bring both creative thinking and technical precision to every project. Figma and Photoshop are equally core to their toolkit - combining strong digital design, prototyping and systems thinking with high-quality image creation, retouching, compositing and campaign craft.
They understand how design decisions translate into build and customer journeys, working closely with developers, account management and creative teams to deliver digital work that is as well-crafted as it is functional. Ideally, they bring hands-on experience designing for D2C and CRM environments, where brand, customer experience and conversion need to work together. Retail touchpoints form part of their remit, though their expertise and focus is firmly in the digital space
 

Key Responsibilities

• Concept and execute digital design solutions across web, D2C, CRM/eDM, social and digital out-of-home formats.
• Contribute to digital concepting and campaign development alongside art directors and copywriters, bringing ideas from initial creative thinking through to polished execution.
• Produce social and digital campaign assets across multiple formats, adapting master creative efficiently and accurately while maintaining design integrity.
• Support the rollout and adaptation of digital assets across required formats and specifications.
• Apply light retail and in-store digital design as required, including digital signage, retail screens and POS digital formats.
• Lead design and prototyping in Figma, producing work that is both creatively compelling and developer-ready.
• Create and maintain design systems, component libraries and digital brand frameworks within Figma.
• Use auto-layout, reusable components and scalable design principles to improve consistency and efficiency across high-volume digital work.
• Use Photoshop as an equally core design tool, creating high-quality campaign imagery and digital assets across D2C, CRM, social and broader digital channels.
• Undertake image manipulation, retouching, compositing, product integration and creation of polished campaign and product imagery.
• Develop and deliver assets for WebOps and D2C environments, with an understanding of responsive design, customer journeys, conversion-focused experiences and how design translates into front-end build.
• Design CRM and eDM creative across customer journeys, including promotional, lifecycle and always-on communications, with an understanding of modular and scalable design.
• Create digital work that balances brand expression, customer experience, commercial objectives and conversion requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is maintained through to final build, providing clear handover files and specifications.
• Work closely with art directors, copywriters, account management, production and client stakeholders to keep work moving and deliver against agreed timelines
   

Experience & Skills

• 3-5 years experience in a digital, creative or integrated agency environment.
• Expert proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, component libraries, auto-layout, design systems and developer handover.
• Qualification in graphic design, digital design, visual communication or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in Photoshop, including image manipulation, retouching, compositing, product integration and creation of polished campaign and product imagery.
• Strong working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and After Effects.
• Demonstrated experience designing for web and D2C environments, with a strong understanding of responsive design principles and conversion-focused customer experiences.
• Ideally, hands-on experience designing CRM and eDM creative, including lifecycle, promotional and always-on communications across customer journeys.
• Experience producing social, CRM/eDM and digital campaign assets at scale, with the ability to work efficiently across multiple formats and specifications.
• Working knowledge of front-end considerations; HTML/CSS awareness is advantageous but not essential.
• A portfolio demonstrating equally strong Figma and Photoshop craft, digital design range and the ability to work across both concepting and production.
• Digitally curious and always across what is new in platforms, tools, design trends and emerging creative technology.
• Detail-oriented and quality-driven, with a systems mindset; thinks about how design scales, not just how it looks.
• A strong collaborator and clear communicator who works comfortably with creative, account management, production and technical teams.
