About the Role

We are seeking skilled Web Developer who are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of multimedia and web-based assets. This includes websites, web pages, computer animations, audio and video content, graphic elements, interactive presentations, information kiosks, and web applications.

The role involves planning, designing, developing, testing, and managing websites and applications to ensure functionality, usability, performance, and an engaging user experience. Web Developers work with a range of programming and scripting languages, web development frameworks, authoring tools, Content Management Systems (CMS), and file transfer technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Design and Development:

· Design, analyse, and develop internet sites by integrating creative artistry with programming and scripting expertise.

· Ensure compatibility across operating environments and maintain user-friendly interfaces.

Multimedia Content Creation:

 · Develop digital animations, images, presentations, audio and video clips, and internet applications.

· Utilize multimedia software, interactive graphics, and programming languages to produce engaging content.

 Web Security and Hosting Collaboration:

 · Work with network specialists on web-related aspects, including security and website hosting.

 · Manage and enforce web server security, allocate hosting resources, regulate user access, and ensure business continuity.

Code Integration and Maintenance:

· Develop, design, and integrate computer code with multimedia elements like image and audio files

 · Use scripting languages to create, maintain, and support websites and web applications.

Strategic Planning and Development:

· Assist in the analysis, specification, and development of internet strategies and methodologies.

· Contribute to creating development plans that align with organizational goals.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

· Proficiency in creating and editing digital media (graphics, animations, audio, and video) using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro.

 · Experience with digital content strategies, search engine optimization (SEO), and optimizing multimedia for web performance.

· Knowledge of secure hosting practices, user access management, disaster recovery, and server management.

· Ability to manage multimedia projects using tools like Trello or Asana, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with stakeholder objectives.

Skills:

· Advanced proficiency in multimedia tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma) and animation/motion graphics software.

· Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with expertise in UX/UI principles and familiarity with server-side frameworks (e.g., PHP, Node.js).

· Skilled in integrating multimedia elements into websites, ensuring mobile optimization, and creating responsive designs.

· Ability to translate concepts into engaging creative designs for web, social media, and marketing campaigns.

· High attention to detail, ensuring quality and consistency across multimedia content.

· Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues and web performance challenges.

 · Efficient multitasking and time management, balancing creative and technical tasks to meet deadlines.

· Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and report multimedia content performance.

· Collaborative teamwork skills to align multimedia projects with business objectives, working with developers, marketers, and stakeholders.

· Experience in client interaction, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored multimedia solutions
