The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Urban Infrastructure team in the Sunshine Coast. With a background in construction engineering, the successful candidate will focus on construction phase services including site supervision, project management, contract administration, quality management and coordinating across our client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of technical expertise, particularly with engineering and construction methods, materials, equipment, and techniquesPre-empt and resolve on-site construction problemsStrong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and understanding of their driversStrong growth mindset and ability to train and mentor junior staffMonitor construction progress against programApprove payment of contractor’s progress claims and contract variations up to specified limitsEnsure the proper and accurate two-way flow of information in relation to allocated projectscomply with the requirements outlined in the respective roles and responsibilitiesProactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables
About You
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years’ industry experienceUrban, land development, roads and/or municipal project experienceMust have a strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standardsExcellent communication skills – written and verbalAustralian driver’s licenceExposure to multidisciplinary design development and authority applications and approvals will be highly regarded
