Carpenter

Prawat Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 71 614 176 984) is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other construction materials.
• Construct, erect and install wall frames, roof framing and structural components.
• Install flooring, external cladding, door frames, window frames, fixtures and fittings.
• Select and prepare appropriate timber and construction materials.
• Check completed structures to ensure they are level, square, plumb and consistent with specifications.
• Construct and assemble formwork where required.
• Renovate, repair and replace existing timber structures and fittings.
• Operate carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with WHS requirements.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant must have:

• Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Carpenter.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
