About the role

We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team in the role of Operations Engineer. If you have a passion for service management, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, then this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Service management and production operations.

• Technical issue resolution.

• Release management and deployments.

• Incident and issue management.

• Automation tool deployment for machine learning models.

• Delivering customers the highest level of service within a defined SLA. 

Skills and Experience

We encourage applicants who demonstrate the following skills and experiences to apply:

• A ‘can-do’ attitude together with strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Ability to collaborate across teams and provide excellent customer service with a desire for continual improvement.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of agile working practices, DevOps, and CI/CD principles.

• Ability to take ownership from start-to-finish, working with limited supervision with awareness of when to escalate and ask for help.

• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL as a minimum.

• Basic understanding of AWS products (S3, Athena, Lamba, etc.), machine learning, and big data technology.

• University degree in computer science or similar.
  

Knowledge

While the following knowledge is not required, they are highly valued:

• IT service management experience.

• Exposure to risk and governance.

• Experience in financial services
