About the program
Each is the lead agency for headspace. headspace Early Psychosis is a youth and family-friendly mental health service supporting young people aged 12-25 years who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, a first episode of psychosis. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based, recovery-focused care, supporting young people and their families through assessment, intervention, and ongoing support.
The Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) and Continuing Care Team (CCT) provide assertive outreach, crisis management, and intensive engagement. Together, they play a vital role in helping young people navigate complex challenges and create pathways to recovery.
Your role, your impact
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll play a vital role in supporting young people experiencing or at risk of early psychosis. Acting as a key support throughout their episode of care, you'll provide clinical assessment, case management, evidence-based interventions and family-focused support that helps young people achieve their recovery goals.
Key responsibilities:
Provide clinical assessment, intervention, crisis management, and therapy to young people
Promote family involvement in care and treatment planning
Engage clients, carers, and families in collaborative treatment and review
Strengthen shared care models and partnerships with other service providers
Deliver evidence-based interventions aligned with the EPPIC framework
Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and external agencies to support integrated care and improve outcomes for young people
Support professional development and contribute to research and evaluation
Foster a supportive, inclusive team culture
About you
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
Approved tertiary qualification/s in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work, with eligibility for registration or membership with the relevant professional body
Experience in clinical assessment, intervention, and case management with young people
Strong engagement skills for working with young people and families
Ability to provide flexible outreach services
Understanding of relevant legislation and recovery-oriented care
Commitment to inclusive, culturally safe practice
Valid driver’s licence

Experience contributing to service planning, development, implementation, or evaluation
Experience participating in research, quality improvement, service innovation, or clinical supervision activities
