Fabcon Project Group Pty Ltd Fabcon Project Group is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Metal Fabricator to join its Sydney-based operations team . The successful candidate will fabricate, assemble, install, maintain, and repair structural steel components and fabricated metal products for commercial and industrial projects. Work-life balance Task & responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints Operate metal fabrication machinery Select, clean and prepare metal stock Cut marked out metal sections and shape using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines. Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrument Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Examine weld for width of bead, penetration and precision Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling and grinding Qualification & experience A qualification relevant to metal fabrication, engineering fabrication, boilermaking, welding, or a closely related trade equivalent to AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or 3 years relevant experience.
