About the role

Join our Disputes and Investigations team as an Executive Assistant, working closely with two Partners and team of lawyers in a high-performing and supportive environment. The team resolves complex disputes for mining, energy and infrastructure clients, and advises on critical land access issues such as native title, environment and planning.  It is a foremost advisor on corporate restructuring matters, disputes over high-value private trusts, and regulatory investigations. 

The day-to-day responsibilities in the role include:

• Diary and email management
• Monthly billing and accounts reporting/management
• Document and file management of multiple files
• Liaising with clients and other parties
• Attending to e-filing processes
• Organising travel, flights and accommodation
• Ad hoc administration duties

About You

• 3 plus years' experience as an Executive Assistant/Legal Secretary in a law firm
• Reliable and thorough, with an eye for detail and ability to identify and correct errors in billing and documentation
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex schedules effectively
• Comfortable following and maintaining effective administrative procedures and document management systems; ensures documents are filed consistently and accessibly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders
• Brings a proactive, can-do attitude and takes initiative in supporting team needs
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar software
