Sous Chef - Cottesloe Golf Club

Cottesloe Golf Club is one of the leading private golf clubs in Australia and is highly regarded in Perth.  Located in Swanbourne, Western Australia, Cottesloe Golf Club was founded in 1908 and has a reputation for excellence in service to members and their guests. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.  A flexible working roster with a mix of days and nights.

Responsibilities for the role will include:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or for an ambitious Chef with career progression

• Confident in managing and leading the kitchen team with the head chef

• Relevant trade qualifications

• Team player that leads by example with a hands-on approach

• Clear understanding of Food Safety guidelines

• Ability to put forward innovative and creative food ideas for our seasonal menu, specials and functions

• Focused on delivering the best experience for all our patrons, both members and visitors alike

• Comply with safe work practices by following Work, Health and Safety policies.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated leadership in a similar role for at least 3 years

• Excellent communication skills

• A strong customer service focus

• Excellent time management skills

• High food standards in both quality and presentation and exceptional attention to detail

• General understanding of a club operation is preferred but not essential

• The ability to remain calm under pressure, multi-task as required and solve problems in a professional and timely manner
