About the role
Your role will be primarily based in Protagonist: A bustling café and bar located at the front of the State Theatre, serving up custom coffee blends, pastries and a proud locally sourced beverage list. Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced coffee/barista service is a must.
As a Hospitality Attendant, you will actively contribute to the efficient operation and revenue generation of various Hospitality outlets by providing a high standard of customer service, cleanliness, food & beverage service, preparation and effective cash handling.
In this role, you will work rostered shifts across a variety of shift patterns including evenings and weekends. Candidates with high availability over these times will be preferred.
Based on the Theatres building forecourt, you must be comfortable in an outdoor environment .
Successful candidates will be available for rostering from 14th September 2026
Key Recruitment Dates
Casual role. Hourly rate of $32.87 inclusive of 25% casual loading plus superannuation

You will work primarily at Protagonist: popular for your morning coffee fix, serving up custom coffee blends and breakfast options including our popular sandwiches and toasties. Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced coffee/barista service is a must.

About the Team
The Hospitality team sits within the Customer Service Pillar and is responsible for the service and delivery of all food and beverage related activity in Arts Centre Melbourne including the Theatres building, Hamer Hall and Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
The Hospitality Unit is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and innovative cuisine across all venues and function spaces in keeping with Arts Centre Melbourne standards.

The use of this technology is necessary for ACM to perform its roster, time and attendance (RTA) functions accurately and efficiently.
