Electrician / Appliance Service Technician

About the role:

We are currently seeking an Electrician or Appliance Technician to join our service team on a full-time basis Monday to Friday (We don't work weekends!). Limited overtime during the week is available if desired. Based out of our Regency Park warehouse the job entails servicing and installing equipment on customer sites which include Hotels & Motels, Defence, Linen Processors, Aged Care, Childcare Centres, Caravan Parks, Laundromats, Residential Homes and Government facilities to name a few.

Main duties include service, repair, pre-delivery and installation of Speed Queen laundry equipment. When required, you will also help with any reasonable duties as required to support branch operations. Working exclusively on Speed Queen equipment, avoid the pitfalls of never having the right info or parts on hand - You will get to know our machines quickly, have full access to factory manuals, a fully stocked van, bulk spares stored at our warehouse and full support from our service managers and other technicians, as well as access directly to the factory if needed.

About you:

Ideally, we are seeking someone with the following attributes and skills:

• Trade qualification in electrical or gas fitting (or restricted electrical (refrigeration techs welcome to apply)).

• Mechanical Aptitude/Troubleshooting Experience/Appliance background

• Current drivers license

• Eager to learn and able to take instructions

• Physically fit due to the nature of the role

• Ability to work unsupervised

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Willingness to travel away regionally for 1-4 nights occasionally
