Role Description The Insurance Broker role at Remingtons Insurance Brokers is a full-time, on-site position based in Ballarat, VIC. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client insurance needs, preparing and presenting tailored insurance options, and arranging appropriate cover across general insurance lines. The role involves liaising with insurers, negotiating terms and premiums, and managing policy renewals, amendments, and claims support. The Insurance Broker will maintain strong client relationships through responsive customer service, clear communication, and regular reviews of coverage. The position also requires accurate documentation, adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and contribution to the ongoing growth and reputation of Remingtons.
Qualifications Expertise in Insurance Brokerage and Insurance, with a solid understanding of general insurance products and market offerings.Knowledge of Finance and related concepts to support premium structuring, risk assessment, and policy recommendations.Strong Customer Service skills, including the ability to build long-term client relationships and respond to enquiries promptly and professionally.Experience or understanding in Retirement Planning, or willingness to develop skills in this area to support broader client needs.Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., Tier 1 or Tier 2 in General Insurance, or equivalent) and compliance with regulatory requirements.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Proven ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple client portfolios and deadlines.Prior experience in an insurance brokerage or similar financial services environment is highly regarded.
