About the Role

Takwood Industrial Services is seeking skilled tradespeople — Sheet Metal Workers, & Laggers — to join our team across maintenance, shutdowns, and project work.

These are site-based roles, suited to individuals who thrive in fast‑paced industrial environments and take pride in delivering quality workmanship. You will work across Gladstone-based projects as well as site-away work on a FIFO/DIDO basis, playing an integral role in the successful delivery of our industrial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your trade, responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal components including ductwork, piping, and tanks

• Applying insulation materials (lagging) to equipment and pipework for thermal, acoustic, and fire protection

• Working collaboratively with project managers and other trades to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of work

• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised work environment in line with site and company safety systems

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Workers, and Laggers, ideally within the heavy industrial sector

• Strong technical skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and excellent hand‑eye coordination

• A strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Relevant trade qualifications and tickets, such as:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)

  • White Card

  • Working at Heights

  • EWP(desirable)

  • Forklift (desirable)
