Teacher- Transition and Work Education

This is part-time fixed term role until 10 December 2028

SuniTAFE is seeking a passionate and student-focused Transition Education / Work Education Teacher to join our team at the Mildura Campus on a fixed-term basis. Working under the direction of the Education Delivery Manager, this role will contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of Transition Education and Work Education programs designed to support students in developing the skills further education, employment and community participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Transition Education and Work Education programs that support learners in achieving their education and employment goals.
• Deliver engaging learning experiences through face-to-face, online and blended learning environments.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to encourage achievement and engagement.
• Develop customised learning resources and assessment materials to support individual student needs.
• Facilitate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and assessment-only pathways where required.
• Collaborate with Student Support Services and external stakeholders to ensure positive student outcomes.
• Participate in quality assurance, validation and continuous improvement activities while maintaining compliance with Child Safety, organisational policies and RTO standards.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Relevant qualification and experience and current Certificate IV TAE40116 or TAE40122 are highly desirable
• Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse learner population are required.
• Well-developed skills in teaching including the ability deal with tight timelines and conflicting demands.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Commitment to deliver high-quality programs across a range of qualification levels.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

• A valid Working with Children Check - employee.
• Criminal Record check (less than 6 months old)
