Experienced veterinary nurse

About the role

Hackham Veterinary Centre is a busy small animal privately owned general practice clinic located in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. We are open 9am-6 pm Monday to Friday and 8-12 pm Saturday with no afterhours work required. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary nurse to join our team, starting September 2026. The role will include reception and surgical nursing shifts across Monday to Saturday, with a minimum of 34 hours a week.

·         You will have a Certificate IV or equivalent in Veterinary nursing with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in general practice.  

·         You will be confident in your surgical nursing, anaesthetic monitoring, wound and post-operative care.

·         You will have excellent animal handling skills including confidence with blood collection and catheter placement.

·         You will be able to work autonomously but also collaboratively within a close knit team. 

·         You will be patient centric and compassionate while always providing exceptional customer service.

·         You will have excellent communication, decision making and organisational skills. 

·         You will have meticulous attention to detail while seeing the clinic as a whole.
