Heavy Vehicle Technician - Afternoon Shift

TRUCK TECH is growing in Dandenong and we’re looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians / Diesel Mechanics to join our afternoon shift team.

Working Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–11:00pm, you’ll get solid hours, competitive rates and the opportunity to work with a crew that knows heavy vehicles.

We’re not looking to tell experienced technicians how to do their job. We want good mechanics who can diagnose problems, take ownership of their work and get the job done properly.

The Work

You know what the job involves – but you’ll have the equipment, systems and support to do it well.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Heavy vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance

• Mechanical repairs and component replacement

• Diagnostics and fault finding

• Brake, steering and suspension repairs

• Identifying issues before they become bigger problems

• Completing jobs safely and to a high standard

• Keeping job cards and repair documentation accurate

• Working with the team to keep vehicles moving and customers happy

What Matters to Us

First and foremost, you need to know your way around a heavy vehicle.

We’re looking for:

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

• Solid experience working on trucks, trailers, buses or other heavy vehicles

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

• Pride in your workmanship

• Someone who can work independently but still be part of the team

• Current driver’s licence

• Full Australian working rights and currently based in Australia

• HR licence? Great. If not, it’s not a deal breaker.
