About the role
We have an opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our purpose built DC at Melbourne Airport Business Park. The Warehouse Supervisor, is an important role within our Distribution Centre (DC), supervising all areas of the DC warehouse operations to ensure effective and efficient distribution to our customer restaurants. In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our warehouse team and continue to drive our People First culture.
You will ensure staffing levels are appropriate to support the dispatch schedule and that the distribution requirements of the DC are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, with warehouse operations always conducted with safety as a priority.
Day to Day you will:
Lead a safe, compliant and efficient operation by maintaining a hazard-free workplace through regular inspections, corrective actions, safety initiatives, and adherence to legislative, customer and company requirements across operations, facilities and fleet.
Drive operational performance and service excellence by ensuring on-time delivery, achieving service KPIs, monitoring operational metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and optimising staffing levels, dispatch activities and warehouse picking efficiencies.
Develop and lead high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, training and performance management, while fostering engagement, wellbeing, accountability and alignment with CARES values.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration by encouraging employee involvement, driving process improvements, and maintaining effective communication across departments to support business and customer outcomes.
Support financial and resource management by assisting with monthly financial reporting, monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts, and identifying cost-effective opportunities to improve operational results.
About You:
Demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain or FMCG operations, with exposure to multi-temperature environments considered advantageous.
Strong people leadership capability with a proven ability to engage, motivate and develop diverse teams through inclusive management practices.
Results-driven mindset with the initiative to achieve and exceed operational KPIs while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically, manage ambiguity and respond effectively in fast-paced operational environments.
Sound knowledge of operational compliance requirements, including workplace health and safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), food safety and Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), supported by intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and IT proficiency.
