Client Care Officer Carrara - Fixed Term

Veterinary Specialist Services is an established Small Animal referral practice in South East Queensland.  We have hospitals at Carrara, Jindalee, and Underwood. We are striving to create an environment where people can do their best work.  Our teams are very passionate about delivering patient care and support each other to do it.  We have a very diverse skill set and can offer just about all specialities, diagnostic modalities, and therapies across our practice group.  We have residency training programs for vets, in house training programs for nurses and internships where many of our interns have progressed to become registered Specialists.  We are involved in the industry with wide participation in professional groups, universities, continuing education courses and we run our own annual conference.

One of our valued Client Care team members will be going on Maternity Leave for aproximately 12 months, as such you have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Client Care Team at Veterinary Specialist Services (VSS) Carrara. As a Client Care Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a vital role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors or contact our hospital.

Working in our busy 24-hour specialist and emergency referral hospital, you'll support clients through every stage of their pet's journey—from appointments and admissions to procedures, hospital stays and discharge. You'll work closely with our specialists, nurses and support teams to ensure exceptional communication, seamless administration and outstanding customer service.

Essential:

Previous experience in a Client Care, Reception or Customer Service role, preferably within a veterinary or medical environment.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Confidence using multiple computer systems and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience processing payments, managing accounts and handling confidential information professionally.
