T his is a 12-month contract opportunity within the Communities and Local Content team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communities and Local Content team as a Senior Advisor, Communities and Social Performance. Reporting to the Global Communities and Local Content Manager, you will support the delivery of socio-economic studies, social performance management plans and community initiatives across Fortescue’s global portfolio of projects.
You will also contribute to the implementation of Fortescue’s communities policies and standards, ensuring our approach reflects international best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of Fortescue’s communities policies and standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Support stakeholder engagement, grievance management and accurate record keeping.Contribute to the development and delivery of local content and community investment initiatives.Support the engagement and management of social performance consultants, including developing scopes of work, assessing proposals and monitoring delivery against budget, schedule and agreed outcomes.Coordinate communities team deliverables for projects and maintain effective interfaces with internal stakeholders.Undertake research to identify social risks and opportunities during early project development and project bids.Develop innovative solutions and identify improved ways of working to strengthen social performance management.Support the preparation and delivery of social performance studies and associated management plans.
Qualifications And Experience
5–7 years’ experience in social performance, community development or a related field.Experience designing, developing and delivering social performance and management plans, such as stakeholder engagement plans, resettlement plans or community investment programs.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders.Experience managing consultants and project deliverables.Strong research, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.International experience, while desirable, is not essential.A degree in social science, community development or a related discipline.
