About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you'll work from our super-accessible East Brisbane office (with potential for work-from-home flexibility because, hey, pants are overrated). Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves completing client work across a wide range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services.

Plus, you get to support our entrepreneurial clients from a smorgasbord of industries with:

• Juggling diverse client assignments (don't worry, we mean metaphorically).
• Wrangling accounts preparation, annual returns, BAS preparation, and management of trusts/companies.
• Detective work: Analyzing client management reports to unearth opportunities for business improvement.
• Tax wizardry: Researching and resolving tax-related queries, analyzing financial data, and ensuring everything adds up.
• Financial sleuthing: Preparing and examining individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns, and financial statements.
• Tech mastery: Generating and managing financial reports using Xero and MYOB

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Australian professional CA or CPA accounting practice.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB AE, BGL, and MS Office. 
• Technical competency, AASB, and IFRS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (we love a good chat).
• Works well to deadlines with strong attention to detail and prioritization (we don't miss a beat).
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team (no slackers here).
• Professional Can do Attitude.
• Ability to build relationships.
• Clear police and credit checks.
