Senior Accountant

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 4+ years of public practice experience to join our team.

You are a professional, hands-on, technically skilled accountant. You are confident interacting with clients and peers. You take pride in your work and ownership of outcomes to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)

• BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement

• Client liaison, relationship building and portfolio management

• Timely and value adding tax and compliance advice to clients

• Assisting with tax planning and advisory work

• Supporting junior staff as required

• Ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation and accounting standards

About You

• Minimum 4 years of experience in public practice

• Australian taxation law and compliance expertise

• Proficiency in Xero (preferred), MYOB, or similar accounting software

• Solid technical accounting and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong client communication and relationship management skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously

• Commitment to business growth, professional and career development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) highly regarded
