Senior Accountant

Role Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated accountant to join our growing team at Craig Baker & Associates. This role has become available due to growth of the firm’s client base. Craig Baker & Associates is a long-established accounting practice located in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast. This role is ideal for someone with approximately five years of public practice experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFsPreparation and lodgement of BAS and IASClient liaison and management of day-to-day queriesAssisting with tax planning and advisory workEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation and ATO requirementsSupporting team members and mentoring junior staff where requiredSkills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in public practiceStrong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirementsProficiency in Xero and other accounting softwareExcellent communication and client relationship skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsCA/CPA/IPA qualified or working towards completion (preferred)What We OfferSupportive and collaborative team environmentOngoing professional developmentSalary package open for discussion based on experience.
