Altona North Medical Hub is a busy, purpose-built medical practice and we're proud to provide accessible, compassionate, patient-centred healthcare to the Altona North and surrounds community.

We're a lively, caring workplace, with an extensive team of GPs and a full suite of onsite allied health services.

We're excited to welcome a Full-Time Medical Receptionist to our front-of-house team, working Monday to Friday, so your weekends remain yours!

About the role

As the friendly face of ANMH, you'll be the first point of contact at our reception desk, making patients feel at ease from the moment they arrive or call.

You'll work as part of a close-knit reception team in a busy but rewarding environment, supported every step of the way.

Your day will include:

• Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner

• Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and assisting with general day-to-day operations

• Handling phone inquiries, emails, and patient requests efficiently

• Processing payments and managing billing tasks

• Coordinating with medical staff to ensure patients receive timely and efficient care

• Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive patient information

• Maintaining a clean, and organised reception area

About You

You're someone who genuinely loves helping people, the kind of person who puts patients at ease just by being you. You stay calm and kind even on the busiest of mornings, and you take real pride in delivering a great experience for every person you meet.

Experience is a bonus but if you don't have it, it's not a problem!

If you have a can-do attitude, a hunger to learn, and a spark of ambition you're exactly who we want.

Here's what we need from you:

• Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration (a real bonus, but not essential, we value the right attitude just as much)

• A warm, friendly communication style, both in person and over the phone

• Advanced computer skills with ability to efficiently navigate complex medical appointment and billing systems

• Great organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail

• A genuine team spirit, with the ability to hold your own when things get busy

• Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality
