Experienced Boilermaker or Welder/Fabricator

We are a Structural Steel, Pipe and Metal Fabrication business, undertaking a wide variety of custom work in engineering construction, commercial and residential building projects.

We have an immediate work opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced boilermaker/welder. You must have strong fabrication skills (i.e. good at reading drawings, jigging, setting out accurately, planning your welding) and be experienced on MIG Welding for structural steel. Any existing skills in TIG welding on Stainless Steel would be seen as a bonus. Most work is factory based in Brunswick, but regular site work on Steel Installation around Melb metro is also involved, requiring being able to perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, bending etc....

You must:

• Be very reliable and punctual, and be self motivated and able to work unsupervised.

• Be comfortable working in a small team, and enjoy working in a steel fabrication environment.

• Have 5+ years solid experience as a Fabricator/Mild Steel MIG welder (a qualification is preferred),

• Be experienced in fabrication, that is to be able to read shop drawings, and set out jobs accurately/ have a good attention to detail.

• Take pride in your work and your workplace.

• Have excellent verbal English skills

• Having a Manual Car Licence is preferred.
