Job Summary

Absolute Enterprises is looking for an experienced Machinist to join our growing team in Paget. This hands-on workshop role will suit someone with strong manual and/or CNC machining experience, a high attention to detail, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work on heavy mining and industrial components.

About Us

Absolute Enterprises is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team working across heavy mining and industrial component repairs, rebuilds and overhauls. Working from Paget facilities, you’ll be part of a fast-paced workshop environment supporting our fitting, engineering and lineboring divisions.

This is a role suited to someone who takes pride in precision, quality workmanship and efficient turnaround times, while working closely with a team that values safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, borers and other machining equipment.

• Machine, repair and refurbish heavy mining and industrial components to required specifications.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, job scopes and technical specifications.

• Carry out accurate measurements using precision measuring equipment.

• Perform machining work to tight tolerances and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification as a Machinist, Fitter and Turner, CNC Machinist or equivalent.

• Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• High attention to detail and the ability to work to accurate tolerances.

• Experience with heavy mining, industrial, hydraulic or mechanical components will be highly regarded.

• Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to repair work.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment and meet turnaround requirements.

• Commitment to workplace health and safety, quality and teamwork.
