Yarloop Tractor Repairs Based in Yarloop, a locally owned business delivering high-quality civil and mining services.

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our workshop team in Yarloop.

This is a hands-on role working with manual lathes, horizontal borer, milling machines and other workshop equipment to manufacture, repair and refurbish a wide range of earthmoving machine components. You'll be trusted to work independently, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to the ongoing success of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

·       Operate manual lathes to manufacture components to specification.

·       Perform general machining using lathes, horizontal borer, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment.

·       Read and interpret engineering drawings.

·       Measure, inspect and verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments.

·       Assist with repairs, maintenance and light fabrication work as required.

·       Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.

About You

·       Experience manufacturing and repairing earthmoving equipment components within the civil and mining industries

·       Demonstrate experience operating manual lathes.

·       Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

·       Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

·       Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

·       Commitment to safe work practices.

Requirements:

·       Trade qualification in Metal Machining or equivalent.

·       Australian C Class Driver's Licence (minimum)

What's on Offer

·       Competitive hourly rates based on experience.

·       Monday to Friday.

·       38 hours per week + overtime + super.

·       Fortnightly pay.
