Service Technician

About the role

You'll work across truck mounted cranes, hooklifts, mini crawler cranes and associated equipment, carrying out servicing, repairs, inspections and pre delivery work. No two days will be exactly the same, with opportunities to develop specialist crane experience in a permanent local role.

Key responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing truck mounted and fixed mounted cranes
• Working on hooklifts, mini crawler cranes and associated equipment
• Fault finding and carrying out mechanical and hydraulic repairs
• Completing pre delivery checks on new equipment
• Assisting with crane installations
• Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance
• Completing service and job documentation accurately
• Keeping the workshop and equipment safe, clean and organised
• Working with the team to get jobs completed safely and on time
• Assisting with field service and customer equipment outside the workshop where required

About you

• Practical, mechanically minded and takes pride in their work
• Mechanical, fitting, automotive, heavy vehicle, plant or similar hands on experience
• Good mechanical and fault finding ability
• An understanding of hydraulics would be highly regarded
• A strong commitment to safety
• A reliable work ethic and willingness to learn
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• A relevant trade qualification, truck licence, forklift licence, vehicle loading crane licence and/or welding experience will be highly regarded
