About the Strategy, Sustainability and Engagement department

The Strategy & Enterprise Project Management Directorate brings together the teams that shape Austin Health’s long-term direction and ensures we deliver sustainable, high-quality care for our community. The directorate includes Strategy and Innovation, Enterprise Project Management, the GP Engagement Alliance, Eastern Melbourne PHN’s Care Synergy alliance and works closely with the development teams who build and maintain our digital assets.

Together, these teams drive organisational strategy, foster innovation, strengthen partnerships, support integrated models of care, enhance community and philanthropic engagement, and ensure clear, consistent communication about and across the organisation.

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to lead implementation, stakeholder engagement, and change management across health services. You will drive adoption of digital health tools across Austin Health by supporting teams through the design and development process to embed new technology that improves safety, efficiency, and patient experience. This role requires strong project management skills, understanding of organisational governance mechanisms, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.

A regular day will see you:   

• Support the implementation and adoption of digital health tools, including the Patient and GP Portal, across Austin Health.
• Coordinate project workstreams, governance and risk management to deliver on key objectives.
• Engage and support clinical and operational stakeholders through structured change management, education and training.
• Drive clear communication, collaboration, and trust across diverse health service partners.

About you 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

• Experience in strategy, improvement, redesign, or process improvement, ideally in healthcare.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of working effectively with diverse groups.
• Ability to coach others, facilitate groups, and contribute to capability building and training.
• Skilled in gathering, analysing, and presenting data to support program initiatives
• Highly organised, with strong time management and proficiency in Office 365 and project management tools.
