Full-time Experienced Dental Assistant

Brisbane Smile Boutique is growing, and we're excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our exceptional team!

Located in Spring Hill, Brisbane Smile Boutique is a privately owned, high-end dental practice dedicated to providing outstanding patient care in a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful smiles while building lasting relationships with our patients.

Our clinical team consists of two experienced female dentists with a strong focus on cosmetic, orthodontic, implant, and general dentistry. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday flexibility.

We're seeking an experienced Dental Assistant who is confident working across both chairside assisting and reception. This dual role is integral to the smooth operation of our practice, and we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical / Chairside

• Provide exceptional chairside assistance across a wide range of dental procedures.

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.

• Perform accurate dental charting and clinical note recording.

• Confidently operate intraoral scanning technology to capture accurate 3D digital scans for treatment planning and laboratory work (with training).

• Deliver efficient four-handed dentistry during complex procedures.

• Assist dentists with treatment planning preparation and patient education.

• Coordinate laboratory work, including crowns, implants, aligners, and orthodontic appliances.

• Maintain the highest standards of infection control, sterilisation, and clinical protocols.

Reception

• Welcome patients and provide an exceptional front-of-house experience.

• Manage appointments and assist with scheduling.

• Answer phone and email enquiries professionally.

• Process payments and health fund claims.

• Support the daily administration and organisation of the practice.

About You

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering an outstanding patient experience.

You'll also have:

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience within a dental practice.

• At least 1 year of dental reception experience.

• Strong chairside assisting skills across a range of dental procedures.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Confidence working in both clinical and reception environments.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• A professional presentation and positive attitude.

• Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work well within a team.

• Experience using D4W (Dental4Web) is highly regarded.
