The Opportunity

As our HR Assistant, you'll play an integral role in keeping our People & Culture function running smoothly. You'll support every stage of the employee lifecycle, maintain our HR systems and records, coordinate key people processes and provide responsive support to employees and leaders across the business. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career in a colloborative team where you'll gain exposure to recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, reporting, employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. 

What you'll be doing

You'll be involved in a wide range of activities, including:

• Coordinating employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, internal movements, remuneration changes and offboarding.
• Preparing employment contracts, variations, probation letters and other HR documentation.
• Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
• Coordinating onboarding activities and helping create a great first-day experience for new employees.
• Supporting recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, reference checks and candidate communications.
• Maintaining compliance registers including visas, police checks, qualifications and professional memberships.
• Preparing people reports and workforce metrics including headcount, recruitment, leave and turnover reporting.
• Supporting performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing events.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and automation across the People & Culture function.

About you

You'll be someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs efficiently while providing outstanding service to employees and leaders.

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in a HR, People & Culture or administrative support role.
• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline (or currently studying).
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience maintaining databases, systems or employee records.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience using HR systems highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and building positive working relationships.
• An interest in HR technology, process improvement and finding smarter ways of working.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
