Dental Assistant/Receptionist

About the role

Gibson Dentistry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Traralgon, Victoria. This is a casual role, the right applicant may have the option of ongoing employment with the option to transition to part time.

What you'll be doing

• Answering Patient telephone calls

• Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures

• Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments

• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are well-stocked

• Greeting and welcoming patients, and providing excellent customer service

• Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

• Ensuring the dental practice adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within the dental industry is preferred, but not required

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment

• A passion for providing high-quality patient care and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well as part of a team
