Accounts Officer

As a growing national business with branches and service support across Australia, Kaishan Australia is experiencing significant growth and is investing in its people, products, and infrastructure to support future expansion. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team and play an important role in supporting our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

·        Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

·        Review, code and process supplier invoices, customer transactions and account adjustments, ensuring correct accounting treatment.

·        Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.

·        Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with general ledger maintenance.

·        Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and incorrect allocations.

·        Assist with the preparation and posting of journals, and month-end and year-end processes.

·        Assist with GST reconciliations and BAS preparation.

·        Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting.

·        Assist with payroll processing and timesheet administration.

About You

·        Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar finance role.

·        Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, journals, account classifications and general ledger accounting.

·        Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliations.

·        Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

·        Experience with accounting/ERP software and Microsoft Excel.

·        Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage. However, training will be provided on our systems and processes to the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be confident managing their day-to-day responsibilities, understanding the accounting impact of transactions, and be able to identify and question anything that doesn't appear correct.

Strong attention to detail, sound accounting judgement and a proactive approach are essential.
