Purchasing Officer

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to support the purchasing function of a major organisation based in Kwinana.

Hours: Monday to Friday

Start: ASAP start

Length: 3 months - depending on client requirements

Hourly rate: $62.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role

This opportunity would suit a purchasing professional with strong systems capability who can confidently manage purchasing activities within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage purchasing transactionsCreate, maintain and follow up purchase ordersEnsure purchasing information is entered accurately and efficientlyLiaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding purchasing requirementsMonitor outstanding purchasing activities and resolve discrepanciesMaintain accurate procurement records and documentation

Experience

Previous experience working as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement positionHands-on purchasing experience using Oracle E-Business Suite and/or SAP S/4HANAStrong attention to detail and data accuracyGood organisation and time-management skillsThe ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliersConfidence managing competing priorities in a busy environment

Relevant Oracle E-Business Suite purchasing experience and/or SAP S/4HANA experience is essential for this opportunity.
