About The Role

At BMD, we're Australia's leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business. With a growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects across transport, water and renewable energy sectors, we're looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our NSW team. Working closely with our Design Manager and project delivery teams, you'll play a critical role in the management of design and construction interfaces, supporting the successful delivery of complex Design & Construct projects across New South Wales.

You Will:

Manage and coordinate design delivery from external consultantsSupport project teams through all phases of project development and deliveryFacilitate collaboration between construction teams, clients and design partnersMonitor design risks, opportunities and innovationsManage RFIs, design queries, variation registers and design change processesFacilitate design meetings and stakeholder coordinationAssist with tender submissions and project pursuitsContribute to design management best practice across the businessProvide technical input into constructability, methodology and project planning activities

About The Role

To be successful, you will bring experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects within Australia, ideally across one or more of the following sectors:

Transport infrastructure projects for Transport for NSWWater infrastructure projects for Sydney WaterRenewable energy or wind farm developments

You Will Also Possess:

A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineStrong understanding of Design & Construct project deliveryExperience managing design consultants and multidisciplinary project teamsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsStrong commercial awareness and risk management capabilityThe ability to identify opportunities for innovation and improved project outcomesExperience working within complex infrastructure environments and fast-paced project teams
