Design Manager | Transport Infrastructure

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Civil team in New South Wales. This is an opportunity to contribute to major roads, highways and rail projects that have a lasting impact on how communities connect and move.

This role will suit someone who enjoys technical complexity, understands the realities of major project delivery, and is motivated by work that creates meaningful long-term outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver transport infrastructure design packages from concept development through to detailed design and construction issue
• Manage design scope, programme, budget and resources across multiple project stages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated, practical and buildable outcomes
• Work closely with contractors, stakeholders and authorities (including TfNSW) to support successful project delivery
• Review and guide design outputs to meet quality, safety, sustainability and constructability requirements

About You

• A seasoned civil engineer with proven experience as a Design Manager in a consultancy environment
• Strong experience delivering major transport infrastructure projects across roads, highways and rail
• Solid understanding of design and construct delivery, including the coordination of complex, multidisciplinary design packages
• Ability to manage technical outcomes in fast-paced project environments while maintaining quality and constructability
• Experience delivering projects to TfNSW or RMS standards is essential, with New South Wales project experience highly regarded
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status desirable
