About the role
My Place is seeking an experienced and highly capable Co-ordinator, Training and Development to join our team.
This is a hands-on Training and Development role for someone with extensive experience developing and delivering high-quality training. A key focus of the position is developing and delivering trauma-informed training for personnel who support children and young people in the care of the Department of Communities, alongside broader training and development activities across My Place.

My Place is an established for-purpose provider of individualised and flexible supports for people with disability and their families. We empower around 400 individuals to live independently in their own homes or with their families, promoting their growth as valued and contributing members of the community. Importantly, we do not operate group homes, day centres, or other congregate care services.

About the role
We are looking for someone who brings a high level of experience, knowledge and initiative and is confident working autonomously while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
The Co-ordinator, Training and Development will be responsible for:
Developing and delivering induction, orientation and refresher training.
Developing and delivering trauma-informed training and resources for personnel supporting people with disability, including children and young people in care.
Creating training in response to service needs, legislation, best practice and emerging organisational requirements.
Developing engaging online learning content and training resources using digital learning programs.
Working collaboratively with teams to identify training needs and develop practical learning solutions.
Planning, co-ordinating and managing training projects from development through to implementation and evaluation.
Contributing to service improvement and quality initiatives through effective project management.
Evaluating training outcomes and using feedback to continually improve learning content and delivery.
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated contemporary attitude and values toward people with disability including promotion of, and adherence to, My Place’s values and service charter (See: www.myplace.org.au).
Extensive experience in Training and Development, including developing and facilitating training.
Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed training and practice.
Strong facilitation skills and the ability to deliver engaging training across a range of topics.
Experience creating training content, resources and learning materials.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and progress projects through to completion.
Strong computer and digital literacy skills, including the ability to create and develop online learning.
The ability to work autonomously, use initiative and manage competing priorities.
Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You must possess a current Drivers Licence
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Desirable
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or other relevant qualification.
Experience in disability, out-of-home care, child and family services or a related human services environment.
