Experienced Occupational Therapist - Adults and Paediatrics

The company aims to improve functional independence, participation, and quality of life for clients across a range of physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gawler, SA for an Experienced Occupational Therapist working with adults and paediatrics. The role involves assessing clients’ functional abilities, sensory and motor skills, and psychosocial needs, and developing individualized intervention plans. The Occupational Therapist will provide direct therapy, recommend and implement strategies, write functional capacity assessments for the NDIS and prescribe assistive equipment or environmental modifications to support daily living, education, and community participation. Responsibilities include collaborating with families, carers, medical and allied health practitioners, documenting clinical notes and reports, and contributing to multidisciplinary care planning. The role also includes maintaining professional standards, engaging in ongoing education, and supporting quality improvement initiatives within the service.QualificationsStrong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based clinical practice.Knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles relevant to adult and paediatric clients, including multidisciplinary care.Experience in Paediatrics, including developmental assessment, early intervention, and family-centered practice.Excellent Communication skills for working with clients, families, carers, and other health professionals, and for preparing clear clinical documentation.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional board or authority.Demonstrated experience working in clinical settings, preferably across both adult and paediatric caseloads.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with sound time management and caseload prioritisation skills.Experience in NDIS functional capacity report writingCommitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
