About The Opportunity
We’re seeking a skilled and self-motivated trade-qualified Maintenance Officer to join the Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS) team. This hands-on, independent role is ideal for someone with a who takes pride in maintaining high standards across complex facilities.
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of maintenance services, including plumbing, carpentry, general labouring, and overall building upkeep across multiple Forensic & Analytical Science locations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring infrastructure is safe, functional, and well-maintained by carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.

What You'll Be Doing
The Maintenance Officer, Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS) is a hands-on, independent role suited to a trade-qualified professional whom will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks including plumbing, carpentry, general labouring and building upkeep across Forensic & Analytical Science facilities. This hands-on role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who can perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to maintain infrastructure across different locations.

Current Trade Certificate in electrical, plumbing, carpentry or similar.Demonstrated experience in delivering facilities maintenance services within healthcare, government, or similarly regulated environmentsDemonstrated sound understanding and application of relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards in the areas of Facilities Management and work health and safety principles and guidelines.Demonstrated knowledge and experience of business concepts and basic computer literacy skills, including use of maintenance systems and documentation toolsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectively.Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersDemonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing contractors or service providers, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.Current NSW Drivers License and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
