The exciting opportunity

• Full-time permanent role working 5 days a week from 9am – 5pm

• Manage kitchen operations at our 50-bed Vaucluse aged care home

• Prepare, cook and present appetising and nutritious food
• Lead, direct, inspire and mentor a capable team of Cooks and Kitchen Hands
• Consult with Dietitians and Speech Pathologists to implement menus that align with residents’ needs and choices
• Manage costs, effectively control stock and identify efficiencies to meet budget
• Encourage and address feedback to achieve continuous improvements

The recipe for success

• Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care, with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
• Excellent understanding of food safety and proven ability meeting governing legislation
• A leader who is passionate about mentoring staff to achieve a culture of teamwork, harmony and success
• Superb communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, and views feedback as an opportunity to improve
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain) and unlimited working rights in Australia
