About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trade Counter Salesperson to join our friendly team at our Rutherford branch.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys face-to-face customer interaction, and takes pride in providing practical solutions for our trade and retail customers.

As part of your day, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional over-the-counter customer service and technical product support.

• Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and ensure invoicing accuracy.

• Assist with warehousing duties, including stock receipt, pick/pack, and delivery coordination.

• Operate a forklift and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace.

• Work closely with your team and Branch Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

This is a hands-on role where every day brings variety—from serving loyal trade customers to managing stock and supporting warehouse logistics.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a motivated and reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for great service. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Previous experience in trade counter sales, warehouse, or similar environment.

• A current Manual Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence (essential).

• Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.

• A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer literacy (experience with stock management systems such as M3 is advantageous).

• Knowledge of the plumbing or building industry (highly regarded).
