About the Role:

Element 25 are currently undertaking an expansion of the processing facility at the Butcherbird mine south of Newman and are seeking a Procurement & Site Support Officer to play a key role in shaping the supply chain, ensuring the materials and equipment needed to operate are available when required and providing support services to ensure the site and new processing facility operate efficiently.

In this role you will manage day-to-day purchasing activities, translating internal departmental requests into valid purchase orders. This role focuses on finding competitive quotes, tracking shipping timelines, expediting urgent orders, and reconciling billing discrepancies to ensure parts and components reach the warehouse smoothly. The role also supports people logistics (flights, accommodation, journey management) and finance with claims and accounts processing.

• Raising and managing purchase orders for spares, consumables, supplies and equipment, within budget parameters
• Liaising with suppliers to maintain active relationships, monitor orders and delivery schedules
• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best outcomes for the business
• Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory principles
• Expediting of goods and services
• Assisting with flights, accommodation and journey management for site personnel
• Supporting finance with rebates and claims and processing of accounts in relation to purchase orders
• Preparing reports to support purchasing decisions
• Maintaining compliance with company policies, standard systems and procedures and statutory requirements
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across purchasing and inventory processes

About You:

To be successful in the role you will possess:

• Demonstrated previous practical experience in purchasing and administration support within similar processing or mining/resources industries
• Experience working in a remote mining business, FIFO
• Strong operational experience with ERP procurement software (e.g. D365, SAP, Oracle, Pronto)
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
• Exceptional time management skills coupled with a self-starter attitude and high attention to detail
• Knowledge of industry, fixed plant/processing operations
• Current C Class Driver’s License essential
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including a National Police Clearance
